AHS Class of '83 40th Reunion

REUNION RECAP

WOW!  What a great reunion we had over the long July 4th weekend. Between 75 and 80 classmates attended some or all of the events while others (like Lesa Q and Mary M.) messaged us from afar.   Everyone was so friendly and it was just a blast regrouping with the people we knew in our formative years.

Friendships were rekindled and more than a couple significant others made new friends.  How could you not with the cool crowd we have?!?

It's also worth reporting for people not in attendance that, with a burst of spontaneous applause, the class approved a motion to make Laurinda our Senior Class President going forward as a way of saying thanks for all her organizing efforts over the decades. It is well deserved!  (We are sure the originally elected Class President would give a hearty endorsement.)  Yes, she's had a little help from others, but the buck has stopped with her for some time and we all benefit from all her time, effort and stress that makes these reunions possible.

This website has been updated to reflect:

We know lots of pictures were taken that we haven't seen.  If you have any (especially from the Friday evening at Local 31), please email to classof83grizzlies@gmail.com.

REUNION EVENTS

Friday, June 30 (7pm-ish)

Saturday, July 1 (5-10pm)

Sunday, July 2 (1:45-3:45pm)

Monday, July 3 (REVISED 1pm-8pm)

Tuesday, July 4  (Place TBD)

40 Years? How did that happen?

Whether or not you've attended any of the previous class reunions, this is the one you want to attend.  Based on early recruitment efforts, we expect a LARGE turnout.

The Main Event for this Reunion is a Saturday Night dinner.   If you and your significant other can only get to one event, make it this one.   Knowing the head count in advance is very important to the planning so we are asking for you to please register as soon as possible.  Given the holiday weekend, it will also benefit out-of-towners to make lodging plans ASAP.

Having July 4th on a Tuesday makes for a long weekend so we have also scheduled a few other casual events that start on Friday, June 30th.  We also know that some people will organize their own events.  Feel free to use our Facebook group here if you want to coordinate with others.

Laurinda (Badtram) Sievers is organizing most of the events.  Look for her emails and please respond ASAP.   If you ever have specific questions, you can email her at: sieversml@aol.com.  Kevin Densmore is organizing the golf scramble on Monday afternoon. You can sign up or ask questions by emailing him at: Classof83Grizzlies@gmail.com.

Below is an outline of the scheduled events that will be updated on the events tab.
